The Iwokrama Rainforest in Guyana is a vast and diverse wilderness area covering nearly 400,000 ha (1,000,000 acres) in the heart of the Guiana Shield region in South America. It is one of the world's four last pristine tropical forests remaining. Canopy walkways – also called canopy walks, treetop walks or treetop walkways – provide pedestrian access to a forest canopy. The forest around the walkway contains important specimens of Guyana’s teeming flora and fauna. Day and evening nature walks are more than mere exercise… a stroll through this forest offers you a face-to-face glimpse at the fascinating wildlife – large and small – that make this one of the world's most biodiverse regions. Approximately 1 hour and 10 mins flight from Ogle to Fairview indigenous settlement then 30 mins drive to atta rainforest lodge. (Requires a minimum of 6 persons)
